AN IMPRESSION OF JOJAKKO-JI TEMPLE
one day in November I'm CONNOR KIRK. I'm artist, printmaker from Atlanta Georgea.

My first impression of Jojakko-ji Temple was "alive"; It's very natural, but also at the same time perfectly composed. Very clean, very refreshing. Looking closely at the Temple, it's very obvious to see how much attention to detail, and care goes into maintaing the temple gardens.

Sketching at Jojakko-ji is ---addictive; once I started it was hard not to lose track of time. And you can't help but be affected by the environment there; sketching or taking photos, meditation --- whatever you like to do --- when you're in this temple you'll feel like it's the first drawing you've ever done.

Leaving Jojakko-ji, I felt quieted --- the chatter in my mind was gone, and I felt very relaxed.
